Today we lost one of our best friends and companions, our dear sweet Murphey. We found out Saturday that Murphey's liver was shutting down and we would need to make a decision. We prayed to God that He would let Murphey pass in his sleep but yesterday Murphey was breaking down before our eyes. Jim made the call to the vet and we took him there this morning at 10:15. My mother in law watched the girls while Jim and I took Murphey for his last ride.
Murphey is buried in our backyard with his chewies, his baseball Grandpap gave him and the Big Dog ball that withstood his chewing after 4 years.

One thing about yesterday, we took Murphey out with the girls to play. Even though his back legs were swelled and could barely move, he played ball with us. His bark wasn't as strong as before but he let us know he was still our puppy.
We love you Murphey and we miss you so very much. We know you are in a much better place. You are running free, chasing balls, without any pain.
