Last week we took Katie and Felicity to see Santa Claus. The girls did great with him. Katie has never had a fear of Santa and I think it has to do with the Santa Claus. I was told this Santa has a PhD in child psychology. He spends as much time as the child wants to spend with him. The lines can be long but it is a really pleasant experience if your child responds to him.
We got a really nice picture of Katie and Felicity. Felicity always has a smile and Katie always has a smile for Santa.
I also took the girls to Picture People. I haven't done a professional picture with Katie and Felicity since Felicity was born. These pictures turned out great as well. It was a little hard trying to get Katie to do what the photographer wanted but my sister in law was there and she was a HUGE help.
Katie also had her follow up appointment with the cardiologist on Thursday. I was just a little bit nervous about it. Our appointment was scheduled for 2:30pm but we were late because of parking. Children's Hospital now has valet parking and it was backed up. When we got to the office, Katie did not want anything to do with the blood pressure reading or EKG. She kept saying Boo boo and cried. The nurse couldn't take the end reading because it was skewed. I did manage to calm her for the EKG. I had pictures of our family in my purse and I went through each one.
The doctor said the blood flow through Katie's pulmonary vein is steady and not high pressured. He also said the other veins in her heart are doing great and not affected at all by the pulmonary vein stenosis. He said Katie needs to come back in another year for another follow up.
